However in instances where the problem is more persistent TraumaCare provides the necessary follow-on treatment for a complete and seamless rehabilitation service.
Examples of “follow-on” treatment:
TraumaCare arranges steroid injections to patients to as part of the rehabilitation service offered and at highly competitive rates.
The provision of this treatment follows on from our goal of providing a holistic and joined up approach to the delivery of treatment. An example would be where a patient has suffered a shoulder injury which is slow to respond to physiotherapy and where the therapist or medical practitioner feels that a steroid injection may assist.
Pain affects different people in different ways. For some accident victims more simple rehabilitation such as physiotherapy is insufficient to ensure recovery and the injury may progress or be at risk of progressing to long-term chronic pain and disability.
The use of pain management which may involve a multidisciplinary approach, involving several different specialists who may either offer treatment separately or simultaneously can be a useful.
To help minimise costs, the TraumaCare approach is stepped and begins within an initial assessment with a specialist Pain Management Consultant. For neck and back injuries pain relieving injections may be recommended.
In instances where surgical intervention is recommended TraumaCare can assist with the necessary administration aspects of the procedures involved. This can entail the patient being assessed by the prospective Consultant and liaising with hospitals to obtain cost estimates and pre-payments in order for the surgery to proceed. We charge a competitive fixed fee for this service.
